PEACHTREE CITY, GA — July 11, 2016 — Four Fort Campbell High School (FCHS) juniors participated in the 70th American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Girls State session held in June at the University of the Cumberlands, in Williamsburg, KY. FCHS student Ms. Isha Cheaye was selected by her peers as one of 2 girls chosen to represent Kentucky at Girls Nation, July 23-30, 2016, in Washington, D.C.

The American Legion Auxiliary Girls State is a nonpartisan program that teaches young women responsible citizenship and love for God and country. Since the inception of the Girls State program in 1937, nearly one million young women have had the opportunity to learn first-hand how their state and local governments work.
