FORT BENNING, Ga., (April 16, 2014) -- The biannual Army Continuing Education Services college fair will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23 at the Main Post Exchange.
The college fair will provide information on educational opportunities, give access to many schools and organizations and will give facts about tuition assistance and serve as a one-stop-shop, said Shannon Gardner, supervisory education services specialist.
Gardner said the event is open to active-duty military, reserves, National Guard, retirees, veterans, military Family members and civilians.
"There will be over 30 colleges (and) organizations set up at tables near the main entryway at the PX," said Hillary Bailey, education services specialist.
Several schools will be there such as American Military University, Columbus State University, University of Maryland University College and Florida Institute of Technology, among others, she said.
Each school will have pamphlets, brochures, applications, light refreshments and other materials at their tables, she said, and questions will be answered.
Gardner said, participants will receive information regarding not only continuing education classes, but information on degree-seeking classes and programs that will help with pursuing educational goals.
A special attraction, Full Sail University's mobile experience, will be parked in front of the PX, Bailey said.
The mobile experience introduces potential students to behind-the-scenes technology for those who want to engage in entertainment and media.
