U.S. Army Garrison Fort A.P. Hill, Va. commander Lt. Col. Peter E. Dargle and several Virginia military leaders gathered in Fredericksburg, Va. recently to sign the Fredericksburg Region Armed Forces Community Covenant.
The signers included installation commanders from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines as well as the Virginia Army National Guard.
The covenant signers pledged to work closely together, create and encourage a strong relationship between the community and the military and educate local residents of the value of having active, retired and former members of the military living in their communities.
The signers also agreed to assist community leaders in developing programs to support active duty military, veterans and their families.
