The Army’s Arts and Crafts program has been serving members of the military since its inception shortly after World War I. Its mission is to provide opportunities for all members of the military community to engage in skill development activities and explore their creativity.

Participation in Arts and Crafts activities promotes stress reduction, encourages self reliance, expands technical knowledge and cultural awareness, and develops technical and problem solving skills.

Automotive Skills

Automotive Skills Centers provide facilities, tools, equipment, diagnoses, and instructions to the patron for maintenance and repair of personal cars on U.S. Army installations worldwide.

The program’s goal is to promote self-reliance and skills development, many of these skills are transferable to many military specialties. It provides a safe work area, with proper equipment, and provides for a clean environment while providing a method for significant cost reduction for personal automotive maintenance.
