Respite Care Program

Respite Care Program

In FY07 and FY08, the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command received $8.2M supplemental funds for EFMP respite care. In FY09, respite care is included in the base operating funds for ACS, no longer funded by supplemental funds. Guidelines for use of FY09 QACS funds for EFMP respite care are at the following link.

In 2008, the U.S. Army Installation Management Command awarded a central contract to AlignStaffing for consistency in respite care implementation across garrisons in the United States. AlignStaffing maintains a network of respite care providers in addition to having the ability to work with existing garrison respite care providers.

Respite care services can be accessed through the central contract by contacting your local ACS EFMP office.
