(All Ages) Venturing beyond CYS Services’ doors to expand services to children and youth on-site in MWR and Family Programs. CYS Services is partnering with Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) operations to provide more opportunities for care to CYS Services patrons!



The EDGE!

The EDGE! Program offers after school opportunities for children and youth ages 6-18 to experience, develop, grow and excel by participating in "cutting edge" programs. EDGE! Programs are offered in art, fitness, life skills, and adventure activities! Register at your Garrison Parent Central Services Office. This program is not currently offered at all Garrisons, check with your Garrison CYS Services for availability.

  • Art EDGE! promotes learning-by-doing and focuses on the development of lifetime skills through exposure to the arts. Art EDGE! activities increase creative development while building self-esteem.
  • Fit EDGE! educates and encourages children and youth to incorporate a healthier lifestyle through physical activity and nutritional awareness programs.
  • Life EDGE! imparts upon children and youth the skills needed for life-long growth as well as the exploration of future career fields.
  • Adventure EDGE! encourages children and youth to embrace the outdoors and nature while being exposed to activities that stimulate relaxation.

HIRED!

The HIRED! Apprentice Program provides 15-18 year old youth with meaningful, professionally-managed career-exploration opportunities in Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) operations. Participants receive valuable paid work experience and training to better equip them with the skills needed in a highly-competitive job market. Opportunities to work after school and weekends exist year round in programs such as food service, child care, outdoor recreation, libraries, fitness centers, golf, and more! Teens may participate in up to two apprentice terms per year and will receive a stipend based upon how many terms they complete! To participate, contact the Work Force Preparation Specialist at your Garrison Youth Services. This program not currently offered at all Garrisons, check with your Garrison CYS Services for availability.

Kids on Site!

CYS Services has partnered with Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) organizations to provide on-site hourly child care (ages 6 weeks – 12 years) for patrons utilizing MWR programs, within Fitness Centers, Soldier Family Assistance Centers, Community Activity Centers, and more. Children must be registered with CYS Services. Contact your Garrison Parent Central Services Office to register. his program not currently offered at all Garrisons, check with your Garrison CYS Services for availability.
