The Army OneSource Community in Second Life is the next generation of innovation for virtual world services and resources designed to serve Soldiers and Families worldwide. Most importantly, this virtual environment is an effective tool for geographically dispersed Soldiers, their Family, friends, and other community members to keep in touch with each other and with the programs and services in their Army Community.
The Virtual Resiliency Campus provides an innovative and fun way for Soldiers and Families to build resiliency in the Physical, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, and Family aspects of their lives.
For Physical resiliency, the Virtual Resiliency Campus provides tools that help Soldiers and Family members create and organize an exercise regimen while motivating them to attain their fitness goals.
The Virtual Resiliency Campus also gives Soldiers and Families access to essential resources for Emotional support. Workshop participants can get real time information from subject matter experts for many common emotional triggers, such as financial stress, parenting, and deployment.
Army OneSource in Second Life is a social hotspot where Soldiers and Family members can participate in engaging activities that encourage interaction and communication with other military personnel and Family members.
Through education and enlightenment, The Virtual Resiliency Campus will strengthen Spiritual fitness by providing participants with resources and service directories to facilitate understanding and acceptance.
The Virtual Resiliency Campus and Army OneSource together, build tighter Families and stronger Soldiers by increasing Physical, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, and Family resilience which better prepares our military personnel and Families in a changing world.
