Military Family Life Within the Army
[2/23/2005]

Source: By OSD Staff for LIFELines

Military family life within the Army can vary depending on where you are stationed and whether you live on or off base. Regardless of your living situation, the Army has programs in place to assist its members and their dependents in adjusting to and understanding the Army way of life. The Army Family Liaison Office exists to ensure the well being of all Army families by providing information and resources for families. For more information visit the Army Family Liaison Office. The US Army Community and Support Center also exists to help Army families adjust. In addition, the Army sponsors School Liaison Officers at each installation to advocate for the school-aged children of military families and their schools. These trained officers work with families and surrounding school districts to address transition and deployment issues.
