Family members may require certain shots and/or immunizations when accompanying their sponsor on an overseas assignment. However, specific requirements vary according to the location of the assignment.

Question:
Can I bring my pets with me when I move OCONUS?

Answer:

Question:
Where can I find out what vaccinations my child needs for school and/or child care centers?

Answer:
The Primary Care Clinic at your local Military Treatment Facility (MTF) or comparable civilian health facility can provide you with the U.S. Recommended Childhood and Adolescent Immunization Schedule. You can also find this information online at the Centers for Disease Control website (http://www.cdc.gov).

Question:
Where can I get vaccinations and immunizations?

Answer:
Your Military Treatment Facility (MTF) and/or other health care provider can assist you with vaccinations and immunizations. Oftentimes, during the start of the flu season, you can get flu shots at your place of Employment, local community centers, and grocery or discount stores.
