Question:
How important is it for a leader to embrace the organization's values?

Answer:
There are many answers to this question, but the important point here is that strategic leaders (any leader, actually) should develop a method to measure his/her success. Strategic leaders are the individuals in an organization who have long-term vision and who have a key role in developing the organization's goals. Their success is typically associated with how well the organization does in reaching these goals. The tools used to measure the organization's progress in achieving these goals can also be used to measure the strategic leader's success. Other ways to measure a leader's success include surveying the members in the organization on the "corporate climate" in which they work. It is also dependent on how well he/she manages the organization's resources (money, time, people, etc.) and how well he/she does in keeping the group focused on pursuing the organization’s goals when external pressures distract them. Question:
How important is it for an organization to measure the effectiveness of its leaders?

Answer:
It is important for an organization to assess its leaders to make sure they are effective at carrying out the organization’s mission. Surveying the effectiveness of an organization’s leaders allows those in charge of the organization to develop solutions to resolve any issues that result, strengthen areas of weakness, improve communication, etc. Some examples of what the survey or assessment should include are: ·Are the organization’s leaders competent and ethical in their practice? ·Are organizational goals, missions, etc. effectively communicated to all members of the organization? ·How satisfactory is the organization’s personnel policies and their efforts to orient new employees, explain benefits, resolve problems, etc? ·Do employees have sufficient resources to perform their jobs?
