What are "Per Diem Rates?"

Per Diem Rates refer to the dollar amount paid to individuals per day for travel by Federal government employees, to include service members, civilian employees or contractors traveling on behalf of the Federal government. These rates vary by location based on the cost of living established for each area. What is the Lodging Success Program (LSP) and how do I use it?

The Lodging for Success Program (LSP) was established to provide lodging for official Army travelers when Government quarters or conference space is not available. LSP hotels are commercial facilities that offer Government employees high quality lodging at rates reduced rates in selected areas in the U.S. (e.g., National Capital Region; San Antonio, TX; Atlanta, GA; Newport News/Hampton, VA; Petersburg, VA; and Miami, FL).
