What are some signs of depression?  
There are a number of symptoms that can signify an individual is depressed such as frequent sadness or crying for no apparent reason, feelings of hopelessness, decreased interest or inability to enjoy previously favorite activities, low energy and boredom, excessive sleeping or the inability to sleep, excessive weight gain or loss, expressions of suicide or self-destructive behavior, etc. Note that this list is not conclusive nor does it always represent the behavior of a depressed individual. If you or someone you know is showing symptoms of depression, consult a physician for more information and care.
