Where can I find information about the eligibility requirements for the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)?
The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) assists eligible family members by helping locate and identify community support services available to special needs families. It is open to Active Duty personnel, U.S. Army Reserve and Active Guard Reserve members who are on active duty exceeding 30 days. Enrollment in this program is mandatory for all active duty personnel with special needs family members. You can find out more about the EFMP through their program manager in the Army Community Services center or ask your military health provider for assistance. Soldiers are also informed of this program during reassignment interviews if the assessment taken indicates that they have an exceptional family member.
