What is "Honors?"
Rendering honors means to stand quietly and respectfully. When required, a salute is given by military persons in uniform. If you are in civilian clothing, you should place your right hand over your heart. Honors are given to the Nation, to certain individuals, and to the uniformed services, often represented by a flag or a song. When in doubt, follow the lead of the senior people present.
