What are personality type indicator instruments and what benefit do they serve?
Personality type indicators are tools used to understand one’s self better. The purpose is to identify your personality strengths and weaknesses, and in doing so, learn how to maximize those strengths and work with the weaknesses. There are a number of professional instruments available, such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® Instrument that looks at an individuals preferences on four scales (extraversion vs. introversion, sensing vs. intuition, thinking vs. feeling, and judging vs. perceiving).
