What type of services and aids are available for blind veterans?  
There are a number of services and aids available to blind veterans to include: admission to a Veterans Administration (VA) blind rehabilitation center or clinic; disability compensation; adjustment to blindness training; improvements and structural alterations to homes; specially adapted housing; electronic and mechanical aids including adaptive computers; guide dogs and the expense of training the veteran to use the dog and the cost of the dog's medical care; talking books, tapes and Braille literature, etc. Contact you local Veterans Administration Health Benefits coordinator for more information.
