Over the last few years social media has seeped into our lives more than any of us could have imagined. Even the Army has embraced this method of communication through Facebook and websites designed for individual FRGs to create secure web pages. As a recent Washington Post article on FRGS and Facebook showed, many of us are getting information from social media sites before it comes through official military channels. What has your experience with the military and social media been? Does your FRG use a Facebook page instead of a virtual FRG site provided by www.armyfrg.org? Do you prefer Facebook over Army provided social media sites like armyfrg.org or Army Book? Is it easier for social media usage to create rumors or does the benefits of the communication and community it provides outweigh those risks? We look forward to hearing about your experiences and your thoughts on this subject.
