Lesson 6:
Identifing E-mail Hoaxes

If you have an e-mail address and some well-meaning friends, you will inevitably receive at least one e-mail hoax during your lifetime.

E-mail hoaxes are messages designed to be passed from one person to another via e-mail, in large waves.

They include chain letters, virus scares, offers of free money or products for you or a sick child if only you’ll forward the message to all your friends, and other untrue myths.
