The last part of the header section is the subject area.

You should always include a short statement that reflects the content of your message.

Subjects are not required, but it is a good habit to follow.

  • When you receive a lot of e-mail, the subject can give you an idea of what to expect before you read the message.
  • Some people consider it bad manners when a subject is not included in an e-mail message
