Lesson 9:
Internet Service Providers (ISP)

Once you have decided what type of connection you want and you have all the hardware connected, you must have an Internet Service Provider (ISP).

• When your computer wants to connect to the Internet, it "calls" your ISP via your modem.
• You must have an account set up with them for them to "answer" your call.
• Once it answers, the ISP will then connect you to the Internet.
