Accessing the Internet

In order to use the Internet, you will need to have a connection to it.

• A connection refers to the physical way you hook your computer up to all of the other computers on the Internet.

In Chapter 1, you learned that network connections could be phone lines, cables or even wireless connections.

In this chapter, you will learn what is needed to create those connections and how to connect.
