Colonel Heinrich Babb, USA, (Retired) and Arlene BabbColonel Heinrich Babb, USA, (Retired) and Arlene Babb, US Army Community and Family Support Center, Alexandria, VA, one of five recipients of the Very Important Patriot Award for 2003. Henry and Arlene Babbs were recognized as a husband and wife volunteer team. "During 2002 alone, the Babb's each contributed over 3000 volunteer hours to organizations benefiting soldiers and families in their home state of Pennsylvania, and throughout the Army world." They have volunteered with the US Army Community and Family Support Center and Army Family Team Building (AFTB), Army Family Action Plan (AFAP), and Army Community Service (ACS) programs. They are also active in the Pennsylvania National Guard (PANG), serving on Family Readiness Councils and working with the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) program. In addition to volunteer activities within the military community, Henry and Arlene are active in their civilian community with their local school district and Foster Parent's Program.Colonel Heinrich Babb, USA, (Retired) and Arlene Babb
