Ms. Lanham's contributions have been many and significant. She has been instrumental in helping to plan and execute 14 biannual ACS Volunteer Awards Ceremonies. She planned the decorations, flowers, menus, and assisted in preparation of the awards. Her vast knowledge of the ACS Volunteer Program has been utilized by ACS to provide a smooth transition for others who have held the volunteer supervisor position. She provided consistency in the program over the past 7 years. She represented Fort Hood at the ACS Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, in June 1987; at the Volunteer Conference in Orlando, Florida, in June 1987; and at the Volunteer Conference in Austin, Texas, in September 1987.

Since serving as Awards and Records Chair, the program has grown progressively, ending with 91 volunteers and 19,000 volunteer hours donated to ACS in FY93. She was responsible for collecting each volunteer's hours, ordering the appropriate awards and\or pins, and preparing certificates or input for certificates.

Ms. Lanham mentored 250 volunteers over the years including 7 volunteer supervisors. She gave the ACS Orientations to new volunteers. Every ACS volunteer in the last 7 years has interfaced with Ms. Lanham.

After helping to develop the innovative "Welcome to Fort Hood" Program, Mrs. Lanham continued to volunteer for the present Hood-To-You Mobile Outreach Program. Ms. Lanham has not only had an impact on the ACS Volunteer Program but all other ACS programs as well.
