ABA Military Pro Bono Project - A web-based venture that improves access to pro bono civil legal assistance for Active-Duty Military Personnel, including Active-Duty Members of the National Guard and Reserves. Referrals of income-eligible Service Member clients through the Project originate in Military Legal Assistance Offices after a thorough screening for legal merit by Military Handling Attorneys and additional screening by supervising Military Attorneys. The Project legal staff then offers eligible cases to private-sector attorneys and firms that have registered with the Project website and are qualified pro bono providers in the geographic area and subject area of interest for that case.
